Please send in an extra pair of socks (or even a few pairs!) for your child to keep at school in case of wet feet! Our hallways can get quite wet with our boots and little feet may step in a puddle on the way into our classroom.

We have discussed at length in class what all the fuss is about on December 25th. Santa is coming and that's a fact! But we are celebrating someone's birthday and we don't want to forget that either. Let's think about what baby Jesus would want as his birthday gift this year. The children of K3 think that love and kindness spread throughout the year would be the best gift of all.
We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year - see you in 2018 ! Ms. Landry, Mme Donovan and Mrs. Blair P.S. Have a well deserved vacation break (the first day back after the holidays is Monday, January 8th, 2018). Our principal of the day, Cooper has declared Friday, December 22, 2017 PJ and Stuffy Day. Your child is invited to wear their PJ's to school and bring in a stuffed animal on this day.

ADVENT PROJECT- Christmas Hampers/Angel Tree- On Wednesday December 13th, we will be having a Christmas Spirit Day. We, at St. James school have chosen to support families in a less privileged school in our School Board. We are supporting these families through the gift of food hampers compiled by each class in the school. Cash donations will also be appreciated. All monies raised will be used to buy food vouchers. Students are encouraged to wear their Christmas spirit from head to toe on Dec 13th and bring in a donation to support our Advent initiative. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
This week we are highlighting Kindness at St. James. To help us celebrate please wear red/pink on Monday, Nov. 20th. Also, on Thursday, November 23rd the entire school is being asked to dress in their favourite colour from top to bottom! (i.e. If your child's favourite colour is yellow then they should wear all yellow clothing on this day.)
November 13th is photo re-take day at St. James. Please write a note in your child`s communication book if you want them to have photo re-takes.
With the cold weather moving in, please send your child to school dressed appropriately for the weather. We are outdoors for 45 minutes-1 hour in the morning and 30 minutes at lunch. Please send in extra socks and a spare set of clothing for your child if they do not have any in the classroom.
