On Tuesday, February 13th, we will be celebrating Valentine's Day as the following day is Ash Wednesday, We will have a traditional Valentine's Day Card Exchange where students are welcome to bring in Valentine's Day cards for their classmates. The cards can be homemade or store-bought. We ask that you help us to make this a successful event by doing the following:
-Have your child only print their own name on the Valentine's Day card in the from section without classmates' names,so that distribution is quick, easy and random. So sender names only (no recipient names) please. Or you may wish to write "To My Friend", From/Love _________.
- Please be sure to send in enough cards for everyone in the class to receive one to avid hurt feelings. There are 28 students in our class.
-Students are welcome to wear red/pink/white clothing on this day.
Thanks for your support!
Monday, February 12th is our Kindergarten Winter Play Day. We will spend the morning outside enjoying activities such as sledding, snowmen-building, snow-painting, treasure hunts, and other fun activities. All are welcome to come and volunteer for this morning (Please feel free to come at 9:15 a.m. to help set-up activities.). We will begin our fun outside at approximately 9:30 a.m. and be outside until around 11:30 am. (weather depending). Please send your child dressed warmly on this day. If your child has indicated they need a helmet to wear for sledding then please send one in on this day.
Please send in an extra pair of socks (or even a few pairs!) for your child to keep at school in case of wet feet! Our hallways can get quite wet with our boots and little feet may step in a puddle on the way into our classroom.
